October’s Devon Social Media Cafe was ‘better than the last one with probably twice the number of people” according to one attendee.

Over 35 people turned up to Plymouth Arts Centre for the monthly discussion group which aims to bring together social media users in Devon to network, socialise and discuss best practice.

The event is organised by public relations consultants, PR Dogs.

Katy Creates, of Devon Social Media Cafe said: “It was a really positive night and we’ve had so much great feedback from everyone that turned up. Thanks goes to Plymouth Arts Centre for hosting the event, PR Dogs for sponsoring the refreshments, Bella’s Bakery for her wonderful cupcakes and Devonshire Tea for bringing along some samples.

“The room was truly buzzing with conversation. It was lovely to see some familiar faces as well as some new ones and I’m really looking forward to next month’s meeting. This is developing into a very social, social media cafe which is just how it should be!”

Photos of October’s can be found here.

  2. […] I didn’t make notes from this one. OOPS. It was a Devon Social Media Cafe, which is basically a chance for people in the area to come together and talk about all things social media. Once again Jason was there and we made quite a few new contacts, although explaining affiliate marketing to everyone in the room lead to me having a raging tickle in my throat and a coughing fit. There were free cupcakes from Bellas Bakery and some free wine and juice (darned it i drove). As I didn’t take notes and the evening was much like any networking evening I really dont have much more to say, but if you want to know more have a look here – […]
